Evaluating Game Plan Progress

I am excited this week to evaluate my GAME plan because I am attending a major training this week that meets one of my goals in my GAME plan. I will finish this training on Friday and then will be a certified trainer for Promethean.

How effective were my actions in helping me meet my goals?
My actions this week have done a tremendous amounts to help meet my goals. I have been in a Promethean Train-the-Trainer workshop this week that will prepare me to be a certified Promethean trainer for my school/district. This workshop is helping to build my leadership skills so that I can return back to my school and hold training so that my fellow co-workers will become more proficient at using their new boards.
What have I learned that I can apply in my instructional practice?
I have learned a plethora of techniques to use in my instructional practice this week. Most of them have been tricks to use with my Promethean Board. I have learned to create interactive flipcharts that my students will enjoy while also raising achievement scores. I am now prepared to utilize my Promethean Board in every content area and in almost every lesson that I teach.

What do you still have to learn? What new questions have arisen?
Even though I am attending an extensive training, there is still so much I have left to learn. One area that I need to learn more about and that I am having questions about is creating tests using the Activexpression (hand held devices). The training that I am attending this week does not cover that topic and it is something that I am wanting to start using with my assessments.

How will you adjust your plan to fit your current needs?
I will adjust my plan to fit my current needs by enrolling in an online course on www.prometheanplanet.com that goes into how to create self-paced test on the Activexpressions. I will also be watching videos that are provided on this topic in the ActivTips section of the website.

I am glad that the training is going well. Can't wait to hear what all you have learned! It's too bad that they aren't teaching about creating tests, that is one of the things I want to learn also. Maybe I will have to look into the online course as well.

Clarissa (Lyndsay, too!),
We have learned SOOOO much this week that our brains are starting to hurt, but in a good way. We are actually going to do some work with the ActivExpressions tomorrow, so we may have more answers than we anticipated getting.

Here is the link for the FREE ActivExpression course:

I was trying to attend a webinar for the Promethean Board today but was unable to get sound. Do you know if they archive the webinars? I will have to check out the ActivExpression course too!
Thanks for the information.

Clarissa,

I am so glad you have learned so much. Picking your brain is part of how I am going to accomplish my 1st goal. I know you and Stehpanie had a long week, but know I and other appreciate you learning so you can help us out.

I too am waiting on setting new goals, you know me I can't have too many goals or I won't meet any of them

Clarissa,
First of all, let me say, I love, love, love this blog setting/layout. It's great; where did you get it? It has been hard to stay on top of the GAME plan. Kudos for doing it. I feel like I will be able to stay on top of things a lot better when school is back in session. Creating tests is very interesting....thank goodness with Kindergarten I don't have to make any tests up! Just have to create a bunch of centers each week.
